I’m going to interpret this as the first album I remember owning and seeking out – The first album I purchased with my own money was a CD copy of Relient K’s Two Lefts Don’t Make a Right...But Three Do. I grew up religious and this was the closest I was allowed to get to popular music like Fall Out Boy, etc. at the time. I loved this album so much and honestly still love it. The song In Love With The 80's will be a favourite forever.
I have a Spotify playlist called cr pix which is accompanied with the description "songs that make me feel invincible". My party favourite usually is on this list, it rotates. Right now it is Gucci Linen by blackbear and 2 chainz
Household Name by Momma is the album of the year. I listen to it every single fucking day. Hi Momma, if you're reading ily. Rip Off, Tall Home, Brave, & Spider are standout tracks.
West Side by Lil West – all of Lil West really. "I'm in two different worlds, I'm with two different girls. I just know that it's gon' take time."
I've always wondered what would have happened to Elliott Smith's music if he lived longer. The salvaged music featured on From a Basement on the Hill makes me think he'd have continued in a more experimental-leaning direction – perhaps even an emo ambient direction. My answer to the question is his album XO.
Lil Peep's mixtape Crybaby. Top song is Nineteen.
I am pretty forward about the music I am interested in. I haven't always been as honest about this because I felt like I needed to prove something or posture as 'cool'. Luckily, I have accepted that I am uncool and can freely enjoy whatever music I want to. Mötley Crue's Too Fast For Love and Shout At The Devil albums are sick.
