I got Spice Girls' Spice and my own CD player for Christmas as a kid and I rinsed that album so hard. I remember falling asleep every night listening to it.
Right now I’m obsessed with an edit of <demons> by Kim Petras, to the point where I sped it up like 30bpm and added the beat from Taaliah’s ‘Fuck it!’
Kim Gordon - The Collective. This album is so badass and inspiring it’s been on repeat in our house since it came out.
Sweet Like Chocolate.
It would be cool to do something classical, kind of like that Wendy Carlos album from The Shining. Requiem by Verdi would be amazing (the one from Battle Royale). It would be crazy to recreate it with electronic voices.
Midnight Vultures by Beck. I keep thinking I’ll get sick of it but I haven’t yet.
My wife was surprised when I was playing Julia Jacklin’s first album Don’t Let the Kids Win in the car the other day. I didn’t think it was that unusual but she genuinely thought it was the algorithm and not my selection. I really love that album though!
