listencorp’s latest magazine has been released and the exploration of incredible independent music and interesting communities it ferments continues…

Amorphous white light dances of pristine dolphin skin in an aquarium/corporate eco-aware start-up. Frutiger Aero – a consumer aesthetic style first classified by researchers at CARI – has proliferated online in the past few years as people young and old look back on a digital age that is fast-receding into the background. With tools sharpened from vaporwave and associated genres, music with the slick 00s aesthetic signifiers is appearing on bandcamp, YouTube playlists and elsewhere.

We talk to Sofi Lee, the researcher who coined the term Frutiger Aero, and the artists inspired by it, to find out more about the growing sound and try to understand its importance.
